Sharing Distance Reiki with recipients in Australia, South Africa, France, & the United Kingdom is terrific with recipients responding positively to Reiki’s healing energy. Distance Reiki is an equally effective option when an In-person Reiki session is not possible.

Our shared well being when we meet face-to-face is so important to me. Here are some practices I’m bringing into being to ensure we all keep as safe as possible when we share In-person Reiki.

Mind the gap

A 30-minute gap between each In-person session is now scheduled so I can prepare the premises. I’ll be disinfecting doorbells, door handles, & surfaces including the treatment table, protective table covers, chairs, & coat rack. Fresh air will be encouraged inside through open windows.

Hygiene 101

Hand sanitiser will be available on your arrival & throughout your visit. All outer clothing – e.g. coats, shoes, bags etc – will remain in the private foyer directly outside the treatment room. All treatment table sheets & pillowcases are replaced after each In-person session &, along with protective barriers, are washed at 60 degrees Celsius. All surfaces including the waterproof pillows will also be disinfected after each In-person session.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We will both wear a mask for the duration of your In-person Reiki visit. I will also be wearing a face shield & hypoallergenic, latex-free gloves for sharing hands-on Reiki. Wherever possible we will socially distance. You are asked to attend your session on your own to reduce the risk of additional contacts between people.

24-hour countdown

It’s so important we keep everyone safe. Sharing a 15-minute phone call within 24-hours of your scheduled In-person session, I’ll take you through the UK Government-required information checks to assess your current COVID-19 health status & any risk category, the practices I’m implementing to offer the safest treatment space, & what to expect when visiting our premises for your In-person Reiki session. We will also run through the Client Information & Treatment Consent forms to minimise face-to-face contact on the day.

As always, honesty is the best policy. So if together we agree your In-person session should not go ahead due to health concerns we can change your session to Distance Reiki OR reschedule until such time as it is safe to share In-person Reiki.

While this phone call may seem tedious it forms an important part of my risk assessment & helps keep us safe.

Are you showing any signs of COVID-19 symptoms?

If you develop a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, we will reschedule your appointment for when you’ve been symptom-free & fever-free for seven days OR you can choose to receive your session via Distance Reiki.

Likewise, if you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has been required to self-isolate, please do not book an In-person Reiki session for 14-days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.

I’m really looking forward to sharing Reiki with you!
